The “Tech(&)Democracy” event at the 2024 Digital Week, organized by the European projects ORBIS and NEUROCLIMA, was a wonderful occasion for dialogue and exchange among experts. Held at Fondazione Feltrinelli in Milan, the event provided a platform to explore how technology and AI are shaping the future of deliberative democracy.
The discussions revolved around three main themes:
- How can technology support informed decision-making and policy-making processes? Featuring Marco Deseriis and Roberta Tassi.
- Citizens and technology awareness in deliberation: Towards a new digital literacy? With Davide Leo and Francesco Franz Purpura.
- Tech-supported deliberative democracy, AI-augmented—what’s next? With Alessandro Gandini, Maria Francesca Murru, and Alice Casiraghi.
The event set the stage for deeper reflections as we move towards the next phase of experimentation, paving the way for a more inclusive and technology-enhanced democratic process.
