“Space and Change in the Districts of Municipio 9 – Milan” marks the launch of a new participatory journey within Pilot 5 of the European project ORBIS, titled “Transition Mechanisms for the Democratic City”.

 

Promoted by IFe Civic Lab, in collaboration with Municipio 9 of the City of Milan and the Politecnico di Milano, the project aims to foster in-depth dialogue and civic deliberation by engaging citizens in a process of collective mapping and individual contributions focused on proximity spaces and contemporary urban challenges.

How it works

  • The process begins with an online participatory mapping of places that residents consider significant in relation to urban change.

  • This will be followed by online discussions based on the collected contributions.

  • Finally, a series of in-person co-design focus groups will be organized to further explore the mapped issues and locations.

The Hybrid Mapped Dialogues phase will remain open until early June 2025.
