The ORBIS project has been invited to contribute to the upcoming UNESCO Conference on Capacity Building on AI and Digital Transformation in the Public Sector, which takes place in Paris on June 4–5, 2025.

On June 5, we will participate in a closed-door workshop organized in collaboration with various Schools of Public Administration. The workshop will explore a central question:

What are the skills that civil servants need in the digital era?

Through a collaborative strategic priorities exercise, the session will aim to identify capacity-building needs, share best practices, and outline concrete action plans. ORBIS will bring to the table its unique insights on digital democratic governance and the role of AI in public decision-making.

This initiative is part of the preparatory process for the WSIS+20 review and supports the implementation of the Global Digital Compact, in partnership with key UN agencies (ITU, UNDP, UNCTAD, UNDESA).

Stay tuned as we share outcomes and reflections from this important moment of international dialogue and collaboration.
