Re-Imagine Europa (RIE) is a Brussels-based, non-partisan think-and-do tank dedicated to rethinking how we address society’s most pressing challenges in a rapidly changing world. Operating as an international non-profit organisation, RIE was founded by President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing in honour of his friendship with Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, guided by a vision of Europe that transcends national, personal, and partisan interests. By harnessing cutting-edge research and innovative methodologies, we focus on depolarising debates, rebuilding trust, and unlocking the power of diverse perspectives to drive meaningful progress.
Globalisation and digitalisation have profoundly transformed our societies, deepening inequalities, social fragmentation, and distrust in institutions. Today, the rise of polarisation threatensdemocratic debate, making it harder to find common ground and implement meaningful solutions.
Future4Citizens (#F4C) was created to address this crisis of trust by fostering inclusive dialogue to develop innovative approaches for tackling today’s most pressing societal challenges.
