Orbis, reimagining deliberative democracy in Europe
Can technology enable a more inclusive, transparent, truthful, and deliberative democracy? Could algorithms provide a solution for augmenting participation and co-creation of policies? At all scales? This is the ambitious objective of Orbis, a Horizon Europe Project led by Politecnico di Milano with the participation of leading organizations from across Europe.
Milan, Italy – The Orbis Project Partners convened on March 27 and 28, 2023, for the inaugural Consortium Meeting. ORBIS, funded by the Horizon Europe research program, aims to revolutionize Deliberative Democracy by fostering increased participation, co-creation, trust, and transparency at all levels. The Politecnico di Milano leads and coordinates the project, which will unfold over a three-year timeframe, supported, developed, and enriched by the activities of the organizations comprising the Consortium.
